Duane Larsen grew up in northeastern Montana. He graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Arts and later attended the Arts Institute of Denver, receiving an Associate’s Degree in Graphic Arts. After a short stint as a Graphic Artist in San Diego, he returned to Montana and taught art education for over 30 years in the public school system. He has since retired and continues to draw and paint the local landscapes and western art subjects.
