"Matilija Poppy" Belle Stewart Design 2024

Belle Stewart is an Australian botanical artist and surface pattern designer now living in Southern California, whose work is rooted in four generations of rural New South Wales heritage.

Growing up in a farmhouse surrounded by gardens, Belle developed an early love of decorating and the kind of craft traditions that make a home feel truly lived in. That sensibility runs through everything she creates — hand-drawn and digitally rendered trailing florals, heritage-inspired botanicals, and the sophisticated earth-tone palettes she is naturally drawn to.

Her standalone botanical prints and repeating patterns have been exhibited and sold at galleries and art shows across Montana and California, and are available here as museum-quality prints for the home. Art runs in the family — Belle also represents her father, Australian landscape artist Don Pearce, whose work you may find elsewhere on this site.
